About me
Tessa Zirnsak is a consumer-identified researcher. She has worked in disability advocacy since 2015 and in research since 2020. Tessa believes that research should empower people and brings this attitude to all the research she has worked on.
My experience
Tessa Zirnsak has been working as a consumer researcher for three years. She has worked advising as a consumer, coordinating consultation and co-design groups, educating researchers not working form a lived experience perspective, and working 1:1 with consumers in hospital settings.
My approach to supervision
I believe that supervision should be an empowering and clarifying experience. I prefer to work in a client-directed way, allowing clients to tell me what they need and working through problems together. Consumer supervision has changed my life and my practice and I want to support others to find ways to act in line with their values.
