About me

This supervisor has been approved to provide supervision under the ACCESS TO SUPERVISION PROJECT.”

Hi there!
My name is Molly (she/her) and I am a young, fun + passionate Lived Experience Lead located in Geelong, Victoria.
I have a vast array of experiences in accessing mental health services both voluntarily and involuntarily, which alongside the experiences of my family, friends and clients, I bring into my role as both a consumer worker and supervisor.
I am a passionate advocate for lived experience representation, workforce inclusion, human rights and social justice, and I am not afraid of hard conversations. I pride myself in my gentle nature, and my values of curiosity, empathy and authenticity are at the forefront of all I do.
Outside of work, I am a dog Mum to three boisterous, energetic, loyal dogs who keep me very busy. I also have a passion for weight-lifting, napping, and op-shopping (how good is a bargain!).

This supervisor has been approved to provide supervision under the ACCESS TO SUPERVISION PROJECT. If you are a supervisee who has received an approval email/letter from the CMHL you may contact this supervisor for supervision for this project, then follow the stated processes for supervision payment.

My experience

I have been involved in the consumer workforce for the past six years and most enjoy mentoring other consumer workers, and supporting organisations to improve their current ways of working.
Previously I have utilised my lived experience whilst working in a youth residential setting, in NDIS support, and I also have experience in facilitating groups and sitting on various panels.

My current role/work

Currently I work as a Peer Support Lead at Geelong Head to Health which is a mental health organisation that consists of a 50% lived experience staff alongside clinicians. In this leadership role I am directly practising peer support with guests of the service, alongside mentoring, supporting, and providing supervision to other lived experience staff. I am involved in service development, advocacy, and co-design, ensuring that the lived experience voice is incorporated into every aspect of our service.
Alongside this role, I also work with Safer Care Victoria in supporting the implementation of some of the recommendations from the Royal Commission into mental health.

My training

My approach to supervision

Ulitising the skills of Intentional Peer Support, I believe that building a mutual connection is of utmost importance. Despite my place as a supervisor, I believe that we are all experts in our own lives and I endeavour to work alongside you to find an approach in supervision that works best for you.
I like to take a gentle approach in sessions, utilising curiosity and empathy to tackle any issues that arise together. A sprinkling of humour throughout sessions is also very important to me.
