About me

Hi there! I'm a married mum of four - all born between 2004 and 2014. I grew up in South-West Victoria and have lived in Melbourne since 2007. With a lived experience of multiple mental health diagnoses, extensive service use (and retraumatisation), and recovery, it is my mission to provide high quality support and empowerment to consumers and peers working in dedicated lived experience roles.

My experience

I have been using my lived experience in various roles since 2019, which includes:
- Lived Experience Worker, Spectrum Personality Disorder and Complex Trauma Service
- Peninsula Health Community Advisory Group Member
- VMIAC Consumer Register Participant
- Australian BPD Foundation (Consumer Volunteer)

My current role/work

Here is a brief description of what I do in my current (main) role as a Lived Experience Worker (consumer perspective) at Spectrum:
- Co-develop and co-facilitate training programs and workshops to various clinicians across Victoria
- Co-design and co-facilitate group programs to peers
- Develop and review web-based content and resources
- Review research and information materials
- Deliver presentations on LE matters to clinicians, both internally and externally
- Co-develop research and training resources
- Collaborate with internal and external departments
- Consult to clinicians internally
- Review, develop, and contribute to various organisational policies and procedures

My approach to supervision

My approach to supervision is to support you in your role as a consumer lived experience worker, and provide a place where you can debrief, explore and test ideas, and reflect on your professional practice in the way that you need to. I use an adapted method based on the RISE UP Professional Supervision model and the Consumer Perspective Supervision Framework to foster a connection built on empathy, validation, and empowerment.

Supervision is held online or by phone, however I can provide in person group supervision to organisations in the Knox and Maroondah City Council areas on Monday afternoons
